My decision to run is out of frustration with our country's current state of affairs. A disconnected and out of touch government has, on many fronts, failed our country and perhaps our futures. Washington's approval rating and confidence level are at an all time low. The American dream is at stake and off course. We are losing our houses, our jobs and our independence. Fiscal responsibility must be a priority.

Now is the time to change leadership and face the issues head-on with a fresh and open style of representation. I am not a political insider; I am neither beholden nor burdened by special interests. I am an independent thinking Democrat who cares about social values and progressive programs. Although this is my first time seeking public office, my success as a proven leader, business operator and an extremely considerate neighbor, will prove essential in the business of government.

As a true outsider, I will bring about real change. I am fully committed and prepared to make the sacrifice that is needed for this change to happen
